'Men, this is called anxiety': Guy gets roasted for claiming he performs 'risk assessments' whenever he goes out with his wife

Everybody has a basic right to feel safe in their environment, but not everybody feels like this happens easily. The truth is, there isn't one person on this earth who doesn't expose themselves to some kind of risk when they venture outside of their house. There is nothing more dangerous than being alive, and there is only so much we can do to mitigate that.

Nonetheless, most people don't see it as a good thing to be constantly aware of any misfortune that might befall them, no matter how outlandish. We just want to go about our business with a minimum of disruption or fear. Sometimes, being with someone that you have a trustworthy relationship with is helpful for this, but it depends on the scenario. There can be people who feel like they have your best interests at heart, but in reality, this couldn't be further from the case.

A recent example of this comes from a video that was widely mocked on Twitter. In it, a man claims that he allows his wife to “not [use] a single brain cell” while walking outside with him because he is the one assessing the risk of their surroundings. Many viewers pointed out that this probably wasn't true and also that it was fairly weird behavior. The cringe that social media couples will ascend to knows no bounds.
